Born in Naples in 1961, Raffaele demonstrated his promise as an artist from a young age, sketching and engaging with the landscapes that surrounded him. Recognising his extraordinary talent and determination, Raffaele’s parents permitted him to study art at the prestigious Academy of Torino. Being trained in the fine traditions of Italy’s great Masters, Raffaele went on to hone his own artistic voice, gaining plaudits and recognition from the very beginning of his career.

Raffaele currently resides in the heart of Tuscany, having moved there in 1993. It is in this influential region, home to some of the world’s most recognizable art and architecture, that Raffaele draws the inspiration to create his quietly affecting work.
