Marisa Mallol, Biography

Marisa Mallol is a Spanish artist specialising in still lifes. Her still life paintings of fruit, flowers and glass objects show an eye for detail with delicate and decisive brush strokes drawing the viewer into a world of realism. Marisa Mallol was born in Alicante Spain in 1942. As a child, she showed a natural talent for art and this developed as she matured and continued to paint. She made friends with fellow artists who encouraged her to go to art school in Alcoy. This gave her the discipline and structure needed to develop her work further. Her work is held in private collections both in Spain and abroad.
